RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
The Brooks Research & Development Park
The first phase of The Brooks expansion is completed and lots are now available!

In 2001, when the last lot in its 220-acre Industrial Park had been sold, the City launched its plan for Park expansion. A Master Plan with design guidelines has been developed by Smith Group - JJR – the renown Ann Arbor architectural firm that designed the unique new Visteon “Village” Headquarters in Van Buren Township, Crosswinds Marsh in Sumpter Township and Jackson National Life Corporate Headquarters in Lansing, Michigan. The Brooks is Marshall's vision for the future. It is a comprehensive planned environment designed to attract and retain state-of-the-art research and manufacturing facilities, facilitate collaboration among its tenants, foster sustained economic growth in the region and draw the most talented people to make Marshall their home and employment center. The Brooks will have an urban campus setting with buildings closer to the street, unified lighting and signage systems, on-street parking and tree lined streets. Approximately 100 acres of The Brooks will be dedicated to advanced automotive research and development. Marshall is currently the home of Borg Warner's and Eaton Corporation's R&D division. The Park is designed to be developed in three phases. The first phase consists of 13 lots ranging in size from 4-10 acres. In addition, 25 acres will be reserved for light industrial manufacturing. Marshall’s finished Park will be like no other in the Great Lakes Region; amenities will include:
